The "points" theme limits the map to point geometry. I used it to map Utah's dark skies. Each point is a certified International Dark-Sky Park. Certification requires measured sky brightness and an active light-pollution management plan. A remote location is not enough on its own.
Keeping it Utah-centric
I decided to keep every entry in the challenge inside Utah. That rule started with this map and shaped many of the later ones. The result is a simple reference map of stargazing and astrophotography sites around the state.
